racing and touring. We are currently on the lookout for local

Road Racing
~To get involved in amateur road racing, contact the United
States Cycling Federation (USCF).
NORBA
~The Michigan Mountain Bike Association is a great
place to find race schedules, trail maps, and other information
for those who prefer to play in the dirt.
Collegiate Racing
~Velocipede Peddler is a proud sponsor of the MSU Cycling Team.
~You can keep up with the college teams by tapping into the
National Collegiate Cycling Association's (NCCA) site.
Local Clubs
~Ann Arbor Bicycle Touring Society (AABTS) organizes several rides
in and around Ann Arbor including the famous "One Hellava Ride".
~One of the best clubs for road racing is the Ann Arbor Velo Club.
Their site includes a comprehensive list of races for this year.
~Tri-County Cyclists home page is a great resource for those in the
Midland, Saginaw and the Bay City area.
~The Tri-County Bicycle Association (TCBA) is Michigan's largest with
over 2,000 Members and home of the famous DALMAC ride to the
Mackinac bridge.
~The Wolverine Sports Club has been home to some of the strongest
riders in Michigan since 1888. They schedule several weekly rides
for many cities in Southeast Michigan. They also organize great
skiing and skating activities!
~Near Jackson? Then check in with the Cascades Cycling Club, sponsors
of the Minard Mills Bike Tour & Wienie Roast.
~Wolver-Bents Recumbent Cyclists - Monthly group rides, spring and fall
recumbent rallies.
~Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Association - Land, sea and air human
powered vehicles with an emphasis on building and racing. Annual HPV
rallies in June.

~MTB Hot Links provides trail reviews, product reviews and links to hundreds
of bike-related sites. This is easily one of the best sites for cyclists on
the web!
~ActiveUSA.com is a national event locator for all sports. Try it out!
~Cyber Cyclery is full of spam/ads, but there are some good resources
like tour company and club links.
~Ever wanted to learn from the pros? A good place to start is the
Walden Cycling Camp. Some this nation's best road riders have been
through the program and what better reason to travel to Florida
when the snow is falling? ~Having trouble determining the right size frame? It's far from
hard science but if you like physics, there are some interesting
opinions available on the Bontrager (Keith's rants) and Sheldon Brown's sites. |
